After spending many years in the hotel and restaurant industry in their native Germany, on cruise ships, and in their new found home of Canada, Alfred and Christa decided to sell their motel and take a rest from tourism for a while. Some years ago they found a very rare and precious acreage at Hahas (Stoney) Lake which they eventually turned into the "Last Paradise Ranch", by building a log house and starting a goat farm. Now, that the renovated old homestead has been turned into a guest cottage, they are combining their experiences of tourism and farming. They are welcoming animal, wildlife and nature enthusiasts to enjoy the unique and peaceful setting, as well as their hospitality.
